Marion Laleve, child and adolescent psychotherapist in Teddington

Welcome to my practice. I bring over 20 years of commitment to children’s well-being and mental health.

I am registered with the BACP - British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (please check my credentials here).

I subscribe to the BACP code of ethics.

As a therapist, I’ve spent over 10 years working closely with children and adolescents in care—supporting them through therapy, advocating on their behalf and working systemically with other professionals. In my private practice, I work with a wide range of challenges and adapt the course of therapy to each child and adolescent. My training in attachment theory, interpersonal neurobiology, psychodynamics, play and arts therapy allows me to shift my approach and offer a wide range of tools.

I also work with parents to help them better understand their children and develop strategies that work for them. I offer assessments and consultations. I look at ways to digest and apply our ever increasing understanding of mental development.

Alongside one-to-one work, I design and deliver workshops for children and parents to help develop calm confidence, creativity and bonding experiences.

In a former life, I practiced as a solicitor. During that time, I volunteered for a charity focused on developing SEND schools and vocational programs for young adults. Before requalifying as a therapist, I spent three years offering counselling to children in a voluntary capacity.

My qualifications

MA Integrative Child Psychotherapy (Institute of Arts and Therapy in Education)

Advanced Diploma Arts Therapy (Institute of Arts and Therapy in Education)

Certificate in Counselling (Institute of Arts and Therapy in Education)

MA in Private Law (University Paris X)
